| Abstract | Este trabalho tem como objetivo entrar na discussão acerca da remoção de tendência na análise de sinais turbulentos, e como esta pode influenciar na estimativa da dimensão fractal (dimensão de Hausdroft) associada. Os resultados mostraram que nos sinais onde são fisicamente esperadas tendências, como no sinal de temperatura, a remoção destas antes da análise leva a resultados mais realísticos. Por outro lado, para aqueles sinais em que a tendência não é fisicamente esperada ou que esteja claramente aparente, como nos sinais das velocidades horizontal e vertical do escoamento, a aplicação da remoção de tendência praticamente não altera os resultados obtidos. ABSTRACT The purpose of this work is to discuss trend removal in the analysis of turbulent signals, and its influence on the estimation of the fractal dimension (Hausdroff s dimension). The results showed that in the signals in which trends are physically expected, (temperature signal) the removal of the trend before analysis yields realistic results. On the other hand, for those signals in that trends are not expected or apparent, as in the case of the horizontal and vertical wind speeds, trend removal does not alter the results. |
